Yep, it's been busy allright.
School Christmas fayre - stood in a queue to get in. Stood in a queue for the tatoos. Stood in a queue for the face-painting. Stood in a queue to see Father Christmas.
Daphne managed to win a rather nice Hamper in the raffle. (Last year she won a day at a Health Club - must get her to choose some lottery numbers...)
I have made at least 100 cookies for various cake stalls, and tried to assemble various costumes for various nativity plays, (though these mainly consist of slightly grubby dressing-gowns and tea-towels.)
Went to our artist-friend Leonie's open studio day - she and Flossie discovered that they have a shared passion; they are both avid collectors of pavement and gutter junk. Bottle tops, washers, rubber bands, springs, etc...
Leonie is an alchemist, and makes beautiful sculptures out of her junk. Flossie is a hoarder, and keeps her collection in boxes stashed around the house. Sometimes, on a rainy day, she sets everything out on the table in neat rows. Other times, she can be found counting her cork collection. Harmless enough I suppose, but should I be worried?

gosh, no! you might have the new Kurt Schwitters on your hands! i used to love the animations of Jan Švankmajer when i was at college, i recall it being lots of junk turning into stuff... feed the fire!
the short film i was thinking of is 'dimensions of dialogue'... a poor version of it is here... but you'll get the idea.
